It’s good news for all the critical back pain sufferers, as latest reports have revealed that a daily yoga session is the best tool to end their fatal back ache problems. However, health experts have also admitted the fact that most of the times; the victims of chronic back pain are left with only limited treatment options.
Moreover, most of them have to rely on the traditional chiropractor methods with unreliable degrees of success or organizing these unbearable conditions with help of some of the strong painkillers or muscle relaxants.
All these claims came to limelight after the study researchers found that as compared to all other back pain sufferers, those who did yoga therapy sessions daily successfully decreased the levels of their pain.
The researchers also highlighted the fact that in comparison to the generally prescribed painkillers which may have some side effects, these yoga and stretching classes positively helped patients reduce their chronic back pain.
In order to make their study findings more reliable, the researchers tracked 228 adults who were suffering from fatal back pains and a slipped disc problems
During the study, all the 228 participants were divided into three groups and out of these three groups, two were asked to attend yoga classes, while the third one was offered a self-care book with different exercises guidelines.
After some weeks, when the researchers were about to conclude their study, they were surprised to find that almost 50% of the participants who attend yoga classes admitted that they felt much better and only 20% of the participants from the self-care group felt better with the offered guidelines.
Sharing his views about the findings, the study Lead Author, Karen J. Sherman said, “In both groups, people had less pain and were more able to carry on with their lives in terms of the activities of daily living”.
