The Yihe 42 Hot Yoga studio at the Solana shopping center in the Chaoyang district is the third studio opened by Cherry Wang in Beijing. It is walking distance from the Liangmaqiao subway exit off of Line 10 and very easy to get to. The studio has two large-sized yoga rooms under one roof. It also has a rest area complete with couches, chairs, and a full-service juice and coffee bar available for all visitors. The Solana location opened in November of 2009 and is the largest hot yoga studio in Beijing.
Cherry Wang is the brains behind the Yi He 42 Hot Yoga Studios. She is a certified Bikram Yoga instructor and received her training and certification at Bikram's Yoga College of India in Los Angeles. She sat down with CRI and talked about her studios, Bikram Yoga, and the rewarding benefits that come with practicing yoga.
The Bikram yoga workout consists of twenty-six postures which are completed within a 90-minute time span. At all three Yi He 42 studios, the yoga rooms are heated at 42 degrees centigrade, which is 107 degrees Fahrenheit. The high temperature is effective on many levels as it helps speed up circulation to fully extend your body muscles, thus preventing muscle injuries. It increases the heart rate which gives you a better cardiovascular workout while making your body soft and flexible. The workout can improve pre-existing conditions and regenerate muscles that have been neglected for years.
