(added last year!)

Greet the new year with flexibility and release from tension! Research has conclusively shown that yoga is excellent not only for relieving stress, often lessening pain, but also goes to the root of problem areas by enhancing health and increasing flexibility. At d'Esterre House, two yoga sessions accomplish even more. Beyond Beginner Yoga before starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m. at St Peter's Anglican Church on Church Street at 218 Church Street on Fridays starting January 14.

On Thursdays starting January 13, there is Beginner Yoga session from 2:15 to 3:45 p.m. at Comox Community Centre, 1855 Noel. Please use the Robb St entrance while the Community Centre is in construction. Excellent instructor Elisabeth Michielsen is the founder of Body, Heart and Soul Yoga, has taught both novices and yoga teachers for more than 20 years. The price can't be beat for each of the 1.5 hr sessions: $7 Drop-in per session fee or $15 for the month of January for Comox Seniors Centre members, $25 for Guests.

Starting February, fees are $5 more monthly for both members and guests. Membership fee for Comox Seniors Centre 55 plus, is only $25 for the whole year and generates monthly $10 less fee for Brain Booster sessions of yoga, nia, and dance.
